Earlier tonight, Charles Barkley made his thoughts known, in no uncertain terms (which is sort of his forte), on the subject of the Knicks, their current situation, and their immediate future (which stand in contrast to his relative optimism before the season tipped-off).

Some of Barkley's jabs included:

And, in reference to the abomination that Philly fans are stuck with.:

"The only thing the Knicks got going for them is Philadelphia."

He also laughed at Andrea Bargnani's return meaning something, while claiming that the still breathing Patrick Ewing must be rolling over in his grave.

Eventually the jabs at the expense of the 5-22 Knicks (now, predictably, 5-23) annoyed Team President Phil Jackson enough to rip Chuck a new one. Or, no wait, scratch that, send him a tweet. That's how things are done now. At least it was a pretty good tweet:

1.

That, in turn, led to this:

2.

Barkley fires back at Phil Jackson: "I don’t do any social media but he’s too old to be tweeting... Phil's got sensitive in his old age."

Anyway that's about the most exciting thing that happened regarding the Knicks tonight. Which is pretty sad considering they're the nation's biggest market and they just faced off against the Bulls on a nationally televised game.

Stand tall MSG faithful, remember, there's only 54 more games to go.
