Is Kobe Bryant going to retire at the end of his current contract? It doesn't expire until after the 2015-16 NBA season ends, so it would give Kobe another year and a half in the NBA. But will he be ready to call it quits at that time?

As of right now, Kobe thinks that he will be ready to hang up his sneakers at that point. Last night, after recording the 21st triple-double of his career, he told reporters that he doesn't see himself playing beyond that:

1.

Kobe: "If you asked me if I’m going to play beyond that, right now the answer is no."

Of course, that's subject to change at any minute. Hell, if reporters asked Kobe the same exact question tonight, he might say that he's planning on playing for another 10 years. But as of right now, that's Kobe's answer—and he's sticking to it.
