When Jay Cutler walked up to the podium at his post-game press conference after the Bears lost to the Saints last night, he was probably expecting the worst. Chicago lost—again—and their offense looked horrendous for most of the game. So surely reporters were going to pepper Cutler with questions about his poor play, the Bears' offensive game plan (or lack thereof), and Chicago's lost season, right?

Wrong. An ESPN reporter did ask Cutler three questions, and he answered all of them. But then, the room got strangely quiet, and no one said a word. Reason being, none of the local media had arrived at the press conference yet. So Cutler was left to stand at the podium, a beaten man, with no questions to answer. It was…weird.

You can see Cutler's reaction to the lack of local media here:

As it turns out, there was some miscommunication on the Bears' side, which is why local reporters were still in the Chicago locker room talking to players and not at the press conference. But something tells us Cutler didn't mind not having to speak with a bunch of reporters who were no doubt going to ask him the same questions they've been asking him about the Bears' lackluster performances over the last few weeks. It was the only W Cutler got all night.
