Adrian Peterson Is Interested in Competing in the Olympics

AP may be going from the football field to the track.

In an interview with ESPN's Ben Goessling, Adrian Peterson spoke about his feelings towards the appeals officer Harold Henderson's refusal to reduce or even eliminate his indefinite suspension altogether. During their conversation, Peterson revealed that he has seriously considered retiring from the game of football.

"I still made $8 million dollars this year. I've thought about getting back into the real estate (business in Texas) I'm already in. That's something I've been interested in, something I'm involved in. I've thought about getting back into that."

In addition to mulling over the idea of getting back into real estate, Peterson also admitted that he's thought about getting into the Olympics.

"I've thought about going after the Olympics -- you only live once. It might be time for me to pursue that, as well...why not continue to pursue that (Olympic) dream and pursue other dreams and hang up the cleats?'"

If AP does make a run—no pun intended—at the Olympics, he would try competing in the 200 and 400-meter dashes.

"I've seriously thought about this real hard. I continue to pray about it, but it's been something that has been heavy, heavy on my heart."
