Just in case you're wondering, Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith still hates the Panthers. It's been a few weeks now since he's talked about just how much he hates his former team—the team that cut him earlier this year because they felt as though he was becoming too much of a distraction. But during an interview with Jim Rome last night, he confirmed that he does, in fact, still hate the Panthers. And he even revealed that he's going on vacation during his bye week using some of the money that Carolina paid him to leave.
"A $5 million cashed check," he said. "When I got pushed out the door, or shoved out the door, they owed me $5 million and that's what I received. And I'm planning on taking one of those vacations from that money this weekend on our bye week."
Something tells us Smith isn't going to spend the whole $5 million on a single vacation. That would just be crazy. But still, it's nice to think that he's going to be eating, drinking, and relaxing for the next few days…all on the Panthers' dime. And meanwhile, the Panthers are in total disarray, have a thousand other distractions, and could really use a guy like Smith right about now. Funny how that worked out, eh?
