In late October, Oscar Taveras and his 18-year old girlfriend, Edilio Arvelo, were killed in a car accident in the Dominican Republic. Now, toxicology reports have revealed that, at the time of the incident, Taveras' blood alcohol content was five times the legal limit. Spokeswoman for the attorney general's office in the Dominican Republic, Tessie Sanchez, adds that the Cardinals' top prospect was "legally intoxicated when he crashed."
