Today USA TODAY released an exclusive interview with currently suspended running back Adrian Peterson about a wide range of topics. It's notable, of course, because it's the first time Peterson has spoken publicly in over two months. For the sake of saving you (debatably) valuable seconds of your life, here's our effort at compiling quotes that you possibly could care about:

On the future discipline of his son (whom he reportedly hasn't seen in five months):

"I won’t ever use a switch again. There’s different situations where a child needs to be disciplined as far as timeout, taking their toys away, making them take a nap. There’s so many different ways to discipline your kids.”

On the public's reaction:

"I take full responsibility, because I spanked my child, and no matter what my intentions were, I end up leaving those marks on his legs, That's the bottom line. That's not what I tried to do, but that's what ended up happening. Don't put me in the same [category as Ray Rice]."

Why he didn't show up for a league scheduled hearing regarding the incident this past week:

"Because I didn't want to go into a situation blind. I didn't know what to expect. Who's going to be there? Who will I be meeting with? What details are we going to get into?"

And finally (as we bring this all back to the NFL), Peterson spoke about the possibility of staying with (or leaving) the Vikings:

"I would love to go back and play in Minnesota to get a feel and just see if my family still feels comfortable there."

Before also adding:

"Maybe it's best for me to get a fresh start somewhere else."
