Apology accepted, San Francisco fans?

The 49ers didn't give their fans much to be thankful for last night. They played the Seahawks at home in last night's late Thanksgiving Day game, but they never really showed up for the contest and ended up losing 19-3. So after the game ended, San Francisco CEO Jed York took to Twitter and apologized for his team's poor play:

1.

Thank you #49ersfaithful for coming out strong tonight. This performance wasn't acceptable. I apologize for that

York was right, too. The Niners performance wasn't acceptable. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick only threw for 121 yards. Running back Frank Gore failed to rush for more than 30 yards. And the team's leading receiver was Carlos Hyde—who is actually the team's backup running back. It was a mess and resulted in Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson and Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman chowing down on turkey legs in the middle of Levi's Stadium after the game:

2.

So yeah, we'd say York's assessment of his team's performance was pretty much on-point. It was just kind of surprising to see him being so honest about the 49ers right after the game.
