With Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles out six to eight weeks, Mark Sanchez is once again a starting quarterback in the NFL. And for some reason, a Philadelphia sports radio station reached out to former New York Jets receiver Braylon Edwards, who played with Sanchez in NY, for his opinion on the matter.

Edwards has always enjoyed the sound of his own voice, whether its bashing the Cleveland Browns after they traded him in 2009 because he could no longer catch or calling the Jets "idiots" on Twitter in 2012. And in an interview with 97.5 The Fanatic in Philly on Friday, Edwards was back lobbing shots at his former employer.

"I believe early on in his career, when he was with the Jets, they babied him," Edwards said of Sanchez. "They babied him and never really allowed him to man up in the NFL, which is a league full of men."

Sanchez and Edwards experienced a lot of success together, as both contributed to the Jets back to back AFC Championship appearances in 2009 and 2010. But as the Jets lost pieces on both offense and defense, Sanchez declined and is now remember more for his infamous butt fumble than almost reaching the Super Bowl two years in a row.

Edwards has been out of football now since 2014, but continues to attempt to burn every bridge that he built during his time in the NFL. We'll see what Sanchez has left in the tank on Monday night when he starts for the first time since 2012.
