While awaiting trial on the attempted murder of his pornstar girlfriend Christy Mack, former-MMA fighter War Machine attempted to commit suicide by hanging himself in a Clark Country, NV jail call.
At roughly 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night, an officer walked by his cell and found him sitting on the ground with his feet on his bed. When the officer checked what was going on, he found Machine unresponsive, with a "linen [tied] around his neck." The disgraced fighter's face was also a shade of purple. When he cut the linen, War Machine's breathing resumed and he tried to mutter something to the officer. In addition to this overwhelming evidence of a suicide attempt there also appeared to be a note in the cell. He's currently housed in a special unit where he's been put on suicide watch.
