If you're expecting this article to start with some sort of dick joke, you might be disappointed. That's already been aired out on Twitter, and it should just stay there. This is a safe place to discuss Elon Musk's newest Tesla development, the Model S P85D. As the blogs and the 'nets speculated, "D" stands for dual, as in dual motor, as in there is a motor for the front axle, and there is a motor for the rear axle. And yes, that means it's all-wheel drive. The original rear motor puts out 470 horses, while the new front motor gives the car an additional 221 horsepower.

That means the D has 691 horsepower. And it has 687 lb-ft of torque. And that means it launches to 60 miles per hour in just 3.2 seconds. Are you more of a quarter-mile kind of person? Fine, this'll do that in 11.8 seconds. The additional motor and tech means additional weight, 291 lbs to be exact. The extra poundage actually helps the car achieve a perfect 50:50 balance, and allows it to grab 1 g of acceleration. Its range tops out at 275 miles per full charge.

On top of the new speedy D, Musk announced new optional driver-assist features that will allow cars to adapt to speech changes and to change lanes when told to do so. The P85D starts at $120,000 and will start being delivered in December.
