A few weeks ago (former) Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice filed a grievance against the organization for terminating his contract after this video was made public. Rice is arguing that the team punished him for the same crime twice, which he contends is a violation of the collective bargaining agreement. The Ravens (as well as the NFL) argue that the surfacing of the video (which only visualized what they already knew happened) counted as new evidence because they claimed they hadn't seen it before (which, as you know, nobody believes).

Rice's appeal is scheduled for November 5th and 6th, where he reportedly plans to argue for reinstatement as well as compensation for back pay which will total roughly $3.52 million dollars. If he is reinstated (which we'll believe when we see) then he faces the even further fetched possibility of being signed by another team before the season ends.
