Five California University (PA) football players were arrested yesterday following a bizarre and disturbing assault charge involving a Pennsylvania man. According to police, the football players beat and stomped on a man while he was defending his girlfriend, who was engaged in an argument with one of the football players. After the football players attacked the man, they were then see running from the scene, shouting "football strong."

If these allegations are true, they are absolutely disgusting. The beaten man, a 30-year-old named Lewis Campbell, is suffering from severe brain damage, and had to be flown via helicopter to the ICU of a nearby hospital. The football players apparently shifted the position of Campbell's lower brain by 80 degrees. Officially, they have been charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, harassment, and conspiracy, and are currently being in jail on a $500K bond. As a result of these charges, California University canceled their upcoming game against Gannon University.

We wish Mr. Campbell the best, and hope that he is able to make a full recovery.
