Aaron Hernandez is probably, er, definitely not going to play in the NFL ever again. But as of right now, the former Patriots tight end is allowed to watch Patriots games behind bars.

When he initially went away to jail after getting arrested and charged with murdering semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd, Hernandez was banned from watching TV, which made keeping up with his former team impossible for him. But now, according to a new report from the Boston Herald, Hernandez has become a "model citizen" at Nashua Street Jail in Boston and has behaved so well that he's reportedly been allowed to watch Patriots games lately.

"He's doing fine," Suffolk Sheriff Steven Tompkins told the Herald. "No problems, no complaints, so I think everything's working out right. He can probably watch Patriots games."

Tompkins didn't say whether or not Hernandez actually watches the games. There's a chance that he has no interest in the NFL anymore. But all indications are that he isn't getting himself into any more trouble in jail, which is something we couldn't say as recently as February.

Hernandez is set to go on trial for the murder of Lloyd at the beginning of January.
