Public pressure sure seems to be effective these days, doesn’t it?

After the NFL blazed the trail this week by changing discipline due to public outcry, No. 1-ranked Florida State has gone ahead and done the same thing. Quarterback and reigning Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston will now be suspended for the team’s entire game tomorrow night against No. 22 Clemson.

This change comes after coach Jimbo Fisher publicly defended his two quarter suspension just last night, and occurred because of the “continuing investigation” the school had been carrying out.

Um, what kind of “investigation” was going on, exactly? Winston stood on a table in a public place and yelled an obscenity. He owned up to it. What more was there to figure out?

Captain Hindsight wins again.
