There have been a lot of NBA players over the years who have tried to rap. And most of them haven't been very good at it. But Nick Young—a.k.a. "Swaggy P"—is one NBA player who we would definitely encourage to rap. He might end up sucking at it. But at the very least, he's got the personality and the charisma to be a decent rapper.

It doesn't sound like we're going to get an album—or hell, a song—from him anytime soon, though. Because during a recent interview with XXL, he was asked about his skills in the studio. And he said that, while he has recorded some stuff in the past, he's never bothered to put it out because it hasn't sounded right to him.

"My brother is a hip-hop head, he got a little studio in his place," he revealed. "We go in there, put down a couple of tracks. Mostly my songs don't be coming out right. I end up sounding like Lil B or somebody."

Gulp. You sure you want to say that, Swaggy? We get what you're trying to say here (and we know that you've given Lil B props in the past). But you do remember what happened the last time an NBA player took a shot at the Based God, right?

Lil B isn't the only rapper who's probably going to give Swaggy some grief about his XXL interview, either. A few minutes after discussing his potential rap career, he also discussed the career of his girlfriend Iggy Azalea. And after he revealed that he was "shocked" when he heard her debut album, The New Classic—"She aight," he said—he also revealed that he's gotten the best of her in rap battles in the past.

"In the car," he said. "I go to YouTube and get an instrumental and start playing around...I can spit. I can freestyle a little bit."

So who's going to be more upset with Swaggy after reading his XXL interview—Lil B or Iggy? Or better yet, who does Swaggy want to be more upset with him?

That "Based God's Curse" is no joke. But if Iggy gets upset, they'll be none of this for Swaggy anytime soon.
