It's no secret that there are quite a few pro athletes out there who use different forms of social media to try and pick up women. But one Browns rookie just found out how using social media could come back to bite you if you're not careful.

According to Deadspin, Browns running back Terrance West started following a Deadspin reader's wife on Instagram recently and, despite the fact that she is clearly married with kids, he tried to holler at her after "liking" several of her IG photos. He liked the photos within the span of about a minute:

1.

And then, he left a comment on one of her photos asking her to text him:

2.

That proved to be a very bad idea, though. Because a short time after West left the comment on the woman's IG photo, her husband got wind of what he was trying to do and stepped in. But he didn't text West and tell him to knock it off. He also didn't call him and ask him to leave his wife alone. Instead, he gave West's number to a bunch of his friends and asked them to send West NSFW photos featuring their, well, you know. And his friends were more than happy to bombard West's phone with dick pics. It forced West to delete his comment and to make his IG private.

And then, as if all of that wasn't bad enough, the Deadspin reader also reached out to West's girlfriend on IG and told her what West had tried to do. Not surprisingly, she hit him back and said that she was no longer dating West even though, according to Deadspin, she just got his name tattooed on her. Welp!

So let this be a lesson to all of the pro athletes out there: Don't mess with married women on social media. Don't mess with any women on social media if you've already got a girl. And don't post your cell phone number anywhere on the Web. Or else…
