Josh Gordon is not going to be able to play for the Browns at all during the upcoming NFL season. Yesterday, the NFL revealed that they are going to uphold the one-year suspension that they gave to the talented wide received earlier this year, meaning he won't be eligible to play for Cleveland again until after the 2014-15 NFL season. But that might not mean that Gordon will spend the next year on the sidelines.

According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Gordon is currently thinking about possibly playing in the Canadian Football League for the rest of the year. Nothing is set in stone just yet. But at the very least, it sounds like Gordon is open to the idea of playing in the CFL this season.

Obviously, that decision wouldn't sit well with the Browns. They definitely don't want to see Gordon go out and tear his ACL or suffer some other kind of devastating injury during a CFL game. So it'll be interesting to see what Gordon decides to do—and how the Browns react to it. Stay tuned.

UPDATE:

NVM! As it turns out, the CFL won't be able to accommodate Gordon while he's suspended by the NFL:
