Less than two months after getting selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, Andrew Wiggins has been the subject of countless trade talks with the Minnesota Timberwolves involving Kevin Love. While there is nothing to cry about, considering Wiggins has a nice rookie contract with a sweet sneaker deal, it still has to be a rough time for the 19-year-old who hasn't spoken to his (as it stands at the moment) teammate LeBron James this entire summer, was reassured by Cavs head coach David Blatt that he wouldn't be dealt and has been kept in the dark about everything going on.

Now, all Wiggins wants to do is close this terrible first chapter of his NBA career. According to the Associated Press, A. Wiggins admitted to former Kansas head coach Bill Self that he just essentially wants out of Cleveland.

“When all this trade stuff started, I talked to Andrew and Andrew told me, “I hope I get traded,” Self said. “And I’m like, ‘No you don’t.’ And he said, “Coach, I do. It’s better for me, knowing my personality and what I need to do, to go somewhere where I’m forced to be something as opposed to going in there where they’re going to be patient with me and I’m going to be a piece.”

Self understands what Wiggins wants and fully supports it, saying:

''Even though in a weird way everybody would love the opportunity to play with LeBron because you're guaranteed winning,'' Self said, ''for the longevity of his career, he needs to develop that mindset to be the guy, for him to be great, and I think being Minnesota will help him do that.''

Everyone, including Wiggins, wants a clean slate, so hopefully, on Aug. 23, the Cavaliers and Timberwolves can successfully reach a deal and get all parties in the right direction.
