Tim Howard is officially the most popular man in America. We know this because he's getting tons of love on social media at the moment (there are marriage proposals galore!) and because, as of right now, there are more than 4,000 people in this country who think that Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington should officially be renamed Tim Howard National Airport. There is a White House petition and everything!

"Whereas Tim Howard has shown himself to be a national treasure, Minister of Defense, Friend of Joe Biden, and the holder for the record of most saves in a World Cup match," the petition says. "Therefore, we politely request that we rename the airport to recognize his accomplishments and meritorious service to the United States of America."

Hmmm…We're beginning to think that all of this Tim Howard stuff might be getting a little bit out of hand. The guy had a great game against Belgium, but does he really need an airport named after him? What's next—a monument in Washington D.C.?

Ha. Oh well. Let's enjoy this moment while it's here. After all, it's not everyday that we celebrate a U.S. soccer player like we're celebrating Tim Howard right now.
