It's the middle of the summer, the NBA free agency period is winding down, and the only thing that NBA teams have to talk about on Twitter is how their bench players are doing during summer leagues. So you'll have to excuse the Suns and 76ers for being silly on Twitter earlier this week. But we have to admit that it was pretty entertaining.

On Tuesday night, whoever runs the Suns' Twitter account reached out to whoever runs the Sixers' Twitter account and told them that they were upset that Will Smith—a.k.a. "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air"—wasn't invited to play with Philly's summer league team this year:

And believe it or not, the person who runs the Sixers' Twitter account actually responded. Just two minutes after the Suns sent their tweet, the Sixers fired back with this:

And three minutes after that, the Suns responded with this:

But they didn't stop there. The joke very easily could have died off after that tweet. But the Sixers had one more bullet in the chamber and replied to the Suns' second tweet with this:

And at that point, the Suns had to give it up to the Sixers:

Was it a weird exchange? You bet. But like we said, what else do NBA team's have to discuss in the middle of July? Ha.
