On Monday morning, ESPN First Take personality Stephen A. Smith took to the ESPN airwaves to apologize for some comments that he made about domestic violence on last Friday's First Take show. But apparently, that apology wasn't enough to keep him out of the ESPN doghouse. Because a short time ago, ESPN announced that they are suspending Stephen A. for one week.
"ESPN announced today that Stephen A. Smith will not appear on First Take or ESPN Radio for the next week," the network said in a statement. "He will return to ESPN next Wednesday."
It's sort of strange that ESPN allowed Stephen A. to work for the last two days before suspending him today. But do you think they ultimately did the right thing by making him sit on the sidelines for the next week?
