In the future a cop could know you're driving drunk before even pulling out the breathalyzer. Researchers have created a roadside laser device that can shine through a window and detect your blood alcohol concentration. Testing was able to read levels above .1 percent, but the researchers believe the device would be more sensitive when used on a human instead of with simulations.

If this laser device were to be adopted by police, there would be problems, though. It wouldn't be able to differentiate between drivers and passengers or a spill in the car. But don't worry. This technology is in such early stages that we haven't even heard law enforcement talk about it.

Yet.
