Rumor has it that Hyundai is looking at moving the Genesis coupe upmarket by dropping the turbo four and adding a V8 option. Alongside the Equus and the new Genesis sedan, it appears that Hyundai is either trying to move upmarket or create a Genesis spin-off brand. We think the latter is far more likely to work, given that Hyundai has only been respectable for a few years at this point.
Sadly, the weird and interesting Veloster might not survive to see a second generation. We're hoping to see a second generation, since we very much like the shape of the car, but really wish a more hardcore option was available.
