The Houston Rockets are already getting ready to not land Carmelo Anthony, and it’s quite a Plan B.

Concerned that they won’t be able to land Anthony, the Rockets have reached out to Chris Bosh and let him know that they’re very interested. ESPN’s Marc Stein is reporting that the Rockets love the idea of pairing Bosh with Dwight Howard, as CB’s long-range shooting is the perfect complement to D12’s paint-based game.

The Rockets do not currently have the cap space to bring in Bosh, but the scheduled trade of Omer Asik to the Hornets and the likely trade of Jeremy Lin should free up enough space to bring in a max-level free agent. Whether that’s Bosh, Anthony, or neither remains to be seen.
