The boy who claimed his dog ate his homework grew up into a man. A man with problems. Wesley Mark Terrell, a 60-year-old in Georgia, drove drunk to a grocery store and left his dog inside the car on a 99-degree day. When the cops asked him what was going on, he said the dog drove him to the store.

Police say the car was 123 degrees inside and charged Terrell with animal cruelty and, of course, driving under the influence. Take note: blaming your dog at 60 years old is no more effective than it is at 12.
