They say that your car is one of the safest places that you can be during a thunderstorm. But the video above might have you second-guessing that.
Recently, a couple was driving down a highway in Edmonton, Canada when, out of nowhere, a giant bolt of lightning struck their vehicle. And it nearly killed them. As you can see in the clip, the lightning caused a fireball, filled the cabin of their truck with smoke, and shut down all of the truck's electric, which made it impossible for Al and Betty Perry to get out. Fortunately, a cop was nearby and came to their rescue. But if the officer hadn't seen them, there's a good chance that they could have died inside of their vehicle as a result of this lightning strike.
