If the San Antonio Spurs defeat the Miami Heat and win the NBA title on Sunday, it would be the perfect, storybook sendoff for both Tim Duncan and Gregg Popovich. But apparently, both guys don't believe in all that. According to ESPN's Marc Stein, Duncan, who has until June 24 to decide whether or not he will pick up his $10.3 million player option, has the Spurs at this moment, "quietly operating under the assumption" that the 38-year-old will not be calling it quits at the end of this season's NBA Finals.

Previously, Popovich has made it clear that when Duncan hangs it up, he will do the same. So, with these reports surfacing that Timmy will stay for another season, you better believe that Pop will be back as well.
