Metta World Peace's new job isn't in the NBA, but at least it's still basketball-related. Last night, it was announced that World Peace would be joining Pacific Palisades High School as a girls basketball coach. The median household income in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles is a cool $168,008, so we're guessing that he'll be sinking his teeth into a decently funded program. The Palisades Dolphins went 21-12 last season.

Exciting news for PaliHi hoops fans: @MettaWorldPeace (aka Ron Artest) is joining the girls basketball team as an assistant coach.
In addition 2 his NBA duties @MettaWorldPeace will be a member of the 2015 Girls Basketball coaching staff. #NBA #CIF #MentalHealthMatters

The Girls are most definitely blessed to have the former Defensive Player of the Year on their staff, but does that spell the end of his NBA career? He only played in 29 games last year for the Knicks before being bought out of his $1.2 million contract. Given that he'd have to make that same amount this season if a team were to sign him (it's the veteran's minimum for a player of World Peace's tenure), it's unlikely that he'll get picked up any time soon. It seems like those girls will have a new full-time addition to the staff.

In the mean time, however, he's been actively blogging on Rant Sports. If you're familiar with his hilarious Twitter activities, then you should appreciate his blogs. His latest compared Dave Chappelle to Muhammad Ali.
