An L.A. Man Is Using a Drone to Spy on Police

Daniel Saulmon uses a drone camera to monitor the Los Angeles Police Department.

Keeping an eye on the cops has just been taken to another level: the sky. Daniel Saulmon has been using a drone to monitor the LAPD and catch possible abuses of power. His website, named Mistaken Bacon (LOL), has the footage he's captured, including video of Kings fans at Staples Center celebrating the team's Stanley Cup win.

Saulmon already has a history of "policing the police," but his latest actions are far more headline-worthy. His lawyer told him there aren't many rules on drones, and he hasn't gotten in any trouble yet. He has, however, been arrested several times for filming police with a standard, non-drone-operated camera.

That's the cost of fighting the power.
