Philadelphia fans who were looking for that extra youthful spring and talent got what they desired when the franchise picked Joel Embiid as the No. 3 pick. Those fans are presumably—or should be—patient, which is great because they're probably not going to see Embiid hit the court until 2015.

As was the case with the Sixers' 2013 pick Nerlens Noel, Embiid will be missing some time because of his foot surgery. To be specific, he's reportedly going to take five-eight months to recover.

So if you've been keeping strong and patient this past year, Philly fans, keep it up.
