The Texans' No. 1 overall pick is going to be spending some time in the training room. Texans coach Bill O'Brien announced today that linebacker Jadeveon Clowney had been bothered by a sore groin, saying: "We just looked at it as, let's take care of it now." He underwent surgery on Thursday after an examination in Philadelphia.

Clowney had initially suffered a groin injury during his Pro Day showing, and it failed to improve. O'Brien added that Clowney would "be ready for training camp," alleviating any concerns from nervous Texans fans.

Let's hope that Clowney will be 100 percent by August so he can lay out some of this at the NFL level.
