The Houston Rockets want to free up enough cap space to offer a max contract to LeBron James and/or Carmelo Anthony this summer. But before they can do all that, they needed to get rid of some of the players on their roster with expensive price tags. With Omer Asik set to make $14.8 million next season, the Rockets have found a trade partner in the New Orleans Pelicans who have reportedly agreed to send a future first-round pick. According to Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski, that first-rounder could be as soon as 2015.

For the Pelicans, the addition of Asik offers a solid big man tandem in Anthony Davis and the 27-year-old from Turkey. Omer, Unibrow, Jrue Holiday, Tyreke Evans and Eric Gordon is a pretty strong starting five, don't you think? As for the Rockets, they're probably not done dealing. Now, they may search for suitors who are willing to take Jeremy Lin and his bloated contract. Good luck with that.
