The Ferrari LaFerrari is many things: it’s a range-topping hypercar, it makes a massive 950-horsepower, but it isn’t a convertible. The latter may change soon enough however, because it seems Ferrari has an open-top Spider version in the works.
According to Autoblog, Ferrari is looking to release a limited edition of 50 LaFerrari Spiders next year, with a price tag expected to be nearly double that of the current $1.35 million coupe. As for changes, well, there’s going to be a lot more headroom, but the 6.3L hybrid V12 powertrain is likely to carry over unchanged from the hardtop model.
We’d like to volunteer first for that road test.
