By opting out of his contract with the Knicks on Monday, Carmelo Anthony chummed the waters for the NBA's annual offseason feeding frenzy. Since then, speculation about Melo's future—along with those of LeBron James and Kevin Love—has run rampant. But, according to Chris Broussard's sources, Carmelo Anthony is at least focusing his search for a possible new team.

The recruiting campaign in Chicago has already begun, where—for better or worse—R. Kelly is leading the charge.

To be fair, R. Kelly has every reason to pull out all of the stops. Given Houston's purported, wildly ambitious offseason plans, there could be a techtonic shift in the NBA around the corner.
