The former ninth overall pick in the 1988 NBA draft, Rony Seikaly played just over a decade in the Association. He bounced from the Miami Heat, where he entered the league in '88, to the New Jersey Nets, where he ended his playing career in '99. He averaged 14.7 ppg and 9.5 rpg for his career, and won a gold medal with the United States in 1986 at the FIBA World Cup.

Today, Seikaly is entertaining fans with a different set of skills. The Lebanese-born seven-footer has traded in his basketball kicks for a laptop stand, and has gone from the hardwood to the DJ booth. In a recent interview with Do Androids Dance, Seikaly talked about his passion for house music, and how he's been around the game for quite a while without the public knowing. Owner of a club in South Beach since '93, Seikaly has been spinning for years, but only started performing at venues after he retired from the game. He's also the host of, "Sugar Free Radio," on Sirius XM, if you're at work looking to get your house groove on.

Seikaly also talked about the club scene in Miami and Ibizia, with regards to his hoop days in South Beach and in Spain. He was also intent on pointing out that he has been producing music well before the "EDM bandwagon came to the U.S.," and has "been around this before any of these celebrity DJs even knew what house music was."
