Redditorsalready rallied behind the Dogecoin NASCAR, so we weren't surprised to see them vote Josh Wise and his cryptocurrency-sponsored car into last night's All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Wise beat out last year's fan vote winner Danica Patrick, which proves the power of Reddit can trump her massive popularity.

"I'm still trying to wrap my head around it," Wise said before finishing 15th in the race. "This is huge for me and our team. It really just started with a 16-year-old kid who posted something on Reddit.com about some good runs we had. And for whatever reason this huge, awesome community just got behind us."

Wise also posted a photo of him and his trophy to Twitter:

So far there aren't any plans to continue the Dogecoin sponsorship, but we'd love to see it happen again. Perhaps on a season-long basis.
