Because of its proportions, the Ford Transit looks narrow. In reality, it's just really tall, but the average buyer might not give it a chance, so Ford concocted an advertisement that proves the Transit's girth.
Obviously, a car that you can drive another car into is big, but a car that you can turn another car around in would be notably big. Nobody is going to be able to turn a '64 Lincoln Continental around in a Transit, but there is one car that can just barley manage this: the Peel P50
