Over the course of the last two seasons, the Nets have invited a number of Brooklyn-based rappers to their games and asked them to help get the crowd fired up. In some cases, it's worked (hi, Jay Z!). In other cases, well, it hasn't (remember Slick Rick's halftime performance back in November 2012?). And last night, they continued the trend by inviting Mike D of the Beastie Boys to introduce the Nets lineup before their big Game 4 matchup against the Heat.

Unfortunately, the introductions didn't lead to a W, as LeBron Jamesput up 49 points in a win for Miami. But Mike D still did a pretty solid job of firing up the crowd. See for yourself in the video above.
