Kurt Busch didn't come up short of his goal today. His car did.
Busch was attempting to make history today, trying to become one of a select few to complete both the Indy 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 in one day. He put up an excellent showing in his Indycar, mind you he's a rookie, placing 6th in his first Indianapolis 500. Unfortunately, during the second leg of his journey, his Stewart Haas NASCAR blew an engine with 193.5 miles remaining.
Busch's racing total for the day reached an insane 906.5 miles.
