Starting next season, Texas A&M will be playing in the partially renovated Kyle Field which has already begun its $450 million makeover since November. But, when everything is complete, Texas A&M regent Jim Schwertner firmly believes that the new stadium should change its name to Kyle Field: The House That Johnny Built. You know, as in, the house Johnny Manziel built.
According to Brent Zwerneman of the San Antonio Express-News and the Houston Chronicle, Schwertner is "dead serious" about the name change and believes that if it weren't for Manziel's presence, the school wouldn't have been able to pull together the necessary funds in order to make Kyle Field the largest capacity in the SEC at 102,500.
Obviously, Schwertner isn't capable of making the name change official, so this may not happen. But hey, never say never.
