Jay Leno’s Garage is back this week, and it’s practically a feature film starring the new McLaren P1. Leno famously took delivery of the first North American P1 a few months back, and recently took some time to give it the once-around in his garage with McLaren CEO Mike Flewitt. That’s like having Barack Obama come over to help with filing your taxes.

The pair talked about the standout technical capacities of the P1, including its torque-filling technology to increase throttle response and brake-fill system, which moves the pads closer to the rotors when not on the gas.

The funnyman apparently covered 880 miles over the course of his first five days with the car – given that it’s a hypercar, that’s nearly a lifetime.
