The Jaguar F-Type Is Getting a Manual and AWD

The F-Type is getting a manual to appease the purists, and AWD to appease everybody who just dealt with that awful winter.

The Jaguar F-Type is already damn near perfect, but if you were one of the purists out there who has been crying out for a manual transmission, you can now rejoice, according to the latest issue of Motor Trend. While this is obviously great news for a great many enthusiasts, the other option Jaguar is planning to offer is a bit more baffling.

The F-Type will be available with all-wheel drive. Given that this car is the spiritual successor to one of the greatest classic sports cars, we think this is pretty weird. After a moment of confusion, we had an idea and now we think it's brilliant.

The first person to put rally tires, skid plates, and rally suspension on an F-Type will be our new favorite person, and if you let us drive it we'll feature you on Complex.
