The Indiana Pacers live to see another day. With their backs against the wall, the Pacers managed to stave off elimination and will face the Heat in Miami for Game 6 of the 2014 Eastern Conference Finals. Even though Indiana came away with the W, their 93-90 victory left a lot to be desired when you consider LeBron James was in foul trouble for the entire game and scored only seven points on 2/10 shooting. However, those factors can't overshadow the heroics of Paul George.
After scoring six points in the first half, George came alive, putting up 31 of the entire team's 60 points in the second half.
And if that wasn't impressive enough, PG scored 21 of the Pacers' 29 points in the fourth quarter. Thanks to one clutch shot after another, the 24-year-old was able to single-handedly fend off a streaking Heat team, who refused to go down without a fight. Even in the final seconds, Miami had the ball in their hands, staring down the opportunity to tie or knock down the game-winner. They opted for the latter after LeBron dished it off to Chris Bosh, who had a relatively good look at a corner three-pointer that grazed off the side of the rim.
And look, a win's a win, but boy, it was nothing to write home about.
