There are all sorts of things to be terrified of in Chicago, but we didn't think a deer falling from the sky was one of them. Heidi Conner was driving with her four kids when a deer fell from an overpass and landed on her windshield. She was driving 70 mph, but luckily the raining deer didn't cause her to wreck into anything else.
None of the kids were hurt, and Heidi only suffered a minor shoulder wound. "If it had been one inch to the left, it would have been dead center," she said. "I wouldn't have been able to control the car. And one inch to the right, it would have killed my son."
An Illinois state trooper said he's never seen anything like this. Neither have we.
