After taking Game One on Sunday Night, the Washington Wizards increased their chances of an Eastern Conference Semifinals berth with a 101-99 overtime victory tonight in Chicago. The Bulls had several opportunities to even the series but couldn't capitalize late. With 10 seconds left in regulation they failed to call a timeout, which resulted in a jump ball (followed by a missed call) and an opportunity for the Wiz to seal the deal at the buzzer.

In overtime, Washington jumped out to an early lead behind six points from Nene. The Bulls clawed back within range and after a pointless offensive foul by John Wall during an inbounds pass, Chicago pulled within two. That gives us an opportunity to explain the above video (in case you went to bed at a reasonable hour). Kirk Hinrich had the perfect opportunity to send the game into double OT from the charity stripe with 2.4 seconds left. The only problem? He missed his first shot. That led to a deliberate second miss and an inevitable D.C. victory. With the series now headed back to the nation's capital, Tom Thibodeau and his crew are going to need a big moderately sized miracle to enter the next round.

Just get any ideas of this out of your head.
