Hot damn, it's almost like gates were invented to keep people safer! Whodathunkit?!
As this video from Houston demonstrates, it is NEVER a good idea to try to beat a train or go around track gates that have already come down. There is nothing that is worth that risk. You never know how fast those trains are really going and you're putting yourself in serious danger. In this case, it was even dumber, because there were reportedly three other people in the vehicle, including two children. Fortunately, they're all expected to be okay, but let this horrible video be a lesson to everybody out there who has ever thought about skipping the line.
