After all the talk and preparation, Tracy McGrady finally took the mound for real on Wednesday night in an exhibition game against Alvin Community College. McGrady, who started the game, threw 15 pitches and stuck around for only one inning, giving up one run on three hits. Considering T-Mac completely abandoned competitive baseball in his senior year of high school, in favor of a career in basketball, this isn't a bad showing at all.
With 34 players currently on the Sugar Land Skeeters' roster, the team needs to make seven more cuts before the season opener next Thursday.
