The Mets second baseman and his wife welcomed their new son Noah into the world last Monday. So in theory, this past week should have been one of the best weeks of Murphy's life. But MLB analysts, sports talk radio hosts, and bloggers dragged his name through the mud after he decided to skip the first two games of the Mets' 2014 MLB season on "paternity leave." A lot of people understood why he skipped Opening Day to be with his wife after she gave birth. But after he skipped the Mets' second game—following a day off—all hell broke loose and people questioned Murphy's commitment to baseball.

Last weekend, Wildcats fans struggled to come to grips with the fact that their team had lost to Wisconsin in the Elite 8 of the 2014 NCAA Tournament. So they rioted…and rioted…and rioted some more. And it got really ugly out there with dozens of 'Zona fans getting injured and/or arrested during the riots. The videos that we saw afterwards were insane, to say the least.

The Bucks forward has endured a horrible 2013-14 NBA season. First, he injured his thumb badly during a bar brawl back in November and needed to have surgery. Then, he broke an orbital bone during a game against the Rockets in February. And now, the NBA has suspended him for five games for testing positive for marijuana. He won't have to serve the suspension until next season since he's been ruled out for the remainder of the year as a result of the orbital fracture. But still, this can't be how Sanders saw his season playing out.

Big Baby acted like a big baby on the bench last weekend. After Clippers coach Doc Rivers took him out of a game, Davis started whining and pouting and got so emotional that, eventually, Rivers asked one of his assistant coaches to take him back to the locker room for the remainder of the game. Davis was back in the lineup for the Clippers during the following game. But if he wants to continue to log minutes for Los Angeles, he's going to need to do a better job of keeping his emotions in check.

As we explained in the intro, Tiger is not going to take part in the Masters next weekend after undergoing back surgery last week. There's also a chance that he could miss additional major tournaments moving forward. And back issues are something that could continue to plague him for years to come. We obviously hope the back problems don't linger. But if they do, there's a chance Tiger's best days may be way behind him.

Barcelona is one of the most powerful football clubs in the entire world. But the organization took a very big hit last week when FIFA determined that it had broken several rules associated with signing young players. So now, FIFA has imposed a 14-month transfer ban on Barca, meaning they will unable to complete any transfers between now and the summer of 2015. They will, of course, appeal FIFA's ruling. But if nothing else, there is a shadow cast over the entire club right now.

The Cubs outfielder took the field for a game against the Pirates last week wearing the wrong uniform. How? We don't know. But Cubs fans sure hope it isn't a sign of things to come this season.

It was a bad week all around for Timberwolves players. First, an infamous NBA groupie named Candy Deep Throat claimed that two T'wolves players paid her for her, er, "services" during a road trip to New York City last weekend. And then, Cunningham—a reserve forward for Minnesota—got arrested at 4 a.m. on Thursday for allegedly attacking a woman inside of her home. Her was arrested on domestic violence charges and could face some serious trouble in the coming months.

Mayor DeBlasio has only been in office for four months in New York City. Four months! And there are already some New Yorkers who are tired of him. They proved it by booing him during the Mets' first game of the season when he threw out the ceremonial first pitch. We  imagine it wasn't what he was expecting during his first Opening Day as mayor.

If Collison's NBA career ends anytime soon, it looks like he's got a future in the WWE. Actually, what is he doing tonight? WrestleMania XXX is set to take place and the WWE could definitely use a guy who bleeds this profusely after taking an elbow (it took place during a game against the Spurs). What do you say, man?
