You want a Scion FR-S because it looks like it would be fun to drive and fun to customize. For 98% of ownership it would just be a pure joy too, but every now and then when your parents are visiting and your girlfriend is coming along too or you need to go buy some lumber at the hardware store it will suddenly become a very, very impractical vehicle.

That's why Scion is testing out a new program in Miami, Houston, and Phoenix called Scion Swap that, if successful, will spread across the country. Scion owners will be given ten days of free Toyota rentals every year, and wil be able to choose a Camry, Sienna, Tacoma, or Prius as their practical replacement car. They'll be responsible for gas and damages, of course, but they'll also be able to buy drywall.

Yes, this gets you one step closer to sports car ownership, and the FR-S is a great car.
